As a national organization, MADA’s programmes and activities are community-driven and community needs based in the area of operation (Eastern Equatoria state).After the CPA and subsequent independence of South Sudan, MADA’s programmes remain focusing on peace building, peace dividends, promotion of human rights and the rule of law, provision of basic services. This means MADA’s approach to community needs remains holistic and integral.
MADA’s current focus is on Governance and Human Rights, Education, Environment, Food security, IDPS, Returnees and Peace building. In Human Rights, MADA is campaigning against the use of women/girls for human compensation. MADA is driven by its love for Humanity and considers this practice as a gross violation of human rights and therefore calls for its end. In Eastern Equatoria and in particular Ikwoto and Torit Counties, MADA is garnering support right from local communities to international community to fight against the use of women/.girls for human compensation. MADA has documented several cases and profiles of this abhorrent practice.
